My name is Wanda Bertram, and I’m the producer for an in-progress documentary called A Brief History of Time Travel. Our film explores popular culture’s obsession with time travel as well as the lengths to which science has gone to make time travel a reality. I’m reaching out to you now in the hopes that you can help connect us with folks interested in seeing and supporting our film.
After three years gathering interviews with folks like Bill Nye, game designer Tim Schafer and speculative fiction author Ted Chiang, we’re currently holding a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to finish our film. We’ve been lucky enough to receive backing from The Lord of the Rings producer Barrie Osborne, as well as a Staff Pick and articles in GeekWire andThe Daily Dot. With a few days left in our campaign, we’re close to our funding goal, and I hope that as a convention organizer you can help us make this final push.
We’d be grateful if you could share the film with your followers through Facebook, Twitter or other venues you prefer. (They might be interested in some of the geeky rewards we’re offering, such as Doctor Who art and time travel kits.) We’d also appreciate any suggestions for groups and individuals to reach out to for support.
Thank you very much for your time and attention – I look forward to hearing from you.
