Specialists hard at work on relaunch technology!
Thanks to Scott & Suzy Rosema for providing table space for MW*C 39 flyers at Get Geek’d!
Thanks also to Scott Clark for taking flyers to Worldcon in San Diego!
Please let us know if you are going to any cons or fannish events and can take flyers.
MediaWest*Con will have a table at Capital City Comic Con this Saturday!
We will be in section 133 in the Breslin Center at MSU.
Look for MediaWest*Cow (the cow that jumped over the moon)!
OK, we’re sweetening the pot: anyone whose rocket rider art we use in MW*C publications will get a free Attending membership for MW*C 39!
We used this modified clip art years ago in MW*C publications.
As MW*C 39 will be a re-launch of sorts, we would like to see updated versions of this concept from as many artists as possible for possible use in publications and on the MW*C website.
The rocket rider might be a fan, a media character (though we don’t want to imply someone’s coming who isn’t), a Sammy dog, MediaWest*Cow, etc.. Use your imagination!
Art style is wide open, but it needs to be reproducible. Pin-up style is OK, just keep it PG.
Likewise, be creative with your rocket design — just keep it recognizable as a rocket and labeled “MW*C or Bust” or something similar showing the intended destination (i.e. “MediaWest*Con” or “MW*C” — spelling must be correct!).
Artwork may be in color or B&W, JPEG or PNGs preferred. Send files to firstname.lastname@example.org as attachments to e-mail.
Rock the rocket for MW*C 39!
Is anyone going to Get Geek’d in Lansing this weekend?
Please let us know!
FOUND: We still have some jewelry that someone left at a dealers table. Identify it and we can ship it to you.
LOST: 3 Cards Against Humanity specialty packs (Sci-Fi, Fantasy, & Geek) went missing from the Game Room at the con. The packs were opened but the cards were still in the individual sleeves, and all 3 were in a clear plastic bag. We provided them so someone might have a chance to play a short game, but they may have accidentally gotten mixed in with someone’s larger deck. If you know where they went, please let us know!
